Did you set your Q2 goals high enough?

It’s great if you’re giggling about how easily you’re nailing your skill and account goals this quarter. But to do this goal-setting thing correctly, you’ll need to edit them upwards and push yourself if you’re flying high one month in.

Goals are supposed to make you stretch, think, and struggle. But they’re not supposed to make you wake up at 2.41 am every night. (You can thank your quarterly quota for that.)

Find the balance.

DO

With one month down in the quarter, check how you’re doing against your Q2 goals.

Are you crushing your Q2 “grow Acme account by 25%” goal? If so, up it.

And how are you tracking against your quarterly skill goals? Maybe you’ve already mastered “becoming a better asker of strategic questions”? If so, ramp it up.

Today, if warranted, edit your goals to be higher. Push yourself to achieve more. (You know you can DO more.)

Selling and reaching goals should never feel easy…nor impossible.
