4/2/2025-Q2 account planning (YAY)

Daily Quote

SKILL

Yesterday, you said you were gonna KILL Q2….now it’s time to work on your plan!

For example, how will you grow Acme Inc. by 20% in Q2?

Your answer is your strategic plan. (“Strategic account planning” doesn’t have to be complex or intimidating.)

The hardest part about account planning is finding time to work on ’em. But once you sequester yourself and think about the challenges of your top accounts, the answers and creative ideas rise to the top.

DO

Today, translate your Q2 strategy into tactics.

Focus your approach on these two areas:

1. Obstacles: Itemize the hurdles you must overcome to move forward on each account. How are you going to tackle them?

2. People: Who must you meet with to affect Q2 spending? (It always comes back to prospecting, huh?)

Next, get to work…call someone! Email someone. Whatever.

Get meetings!

OOMPH

Can you hit your Q2 number without an account plan? Ummm…maybe.

But what about Q4? Or 2026? …2030??

Perhaps this TED Talk behavioral neurologist, Dr. Tali Sharot, is what you need right now.

Dr. Tali will help you overcome your addiction to handling tactical task-driven activities and adopt a more strategic mindset—something you’ll need not just for Q2 but also for 2026 and beyond.

Your prospects deserve your brain more than your quick response time on the keyboard.
