The TOP 10% attain their consistent level of performance because they understand they’re running a marathon. And, to succeed in the marathon sales game, you must stay in the race!
You are running a marathon…and you won’t cross the tape unless you stay in the race.
This requires constant management of your mind and body.
Keep disciplined on these three good habits:
1. Food is fuel; don’t eat crap. Consume smartly.
2. Exercise regularly. Even if it’s a brisk walk, keep moving.
3. Assemble a team to help you: work with mentors, motivators, sales trainers, nutritionists, psychologists, and yes, get the right MDs to help you too. Build a deep bench. (Chiropractors, too…ya can’t lug around a laptop bag with a crick in your neck.)

Can any of these daily habits help you win the long game?
1. Don’t go to bed late. You can’t perform the next day if you’re sluggish.
2. Are three glasses of wine with your customer at the pub too much? Ummm…maybe. Cut yourself back (and don’t apologize for it). Again, you can’t be effective if you start each day in fifth gear.
3. Cranky with your peers in the morning? Wake up 20 minutes earlier and do some yoga…or meditate.
