Skill + Do
Allan Lokos is the founder and guiding teacher of the Community Meditation Center in NYC.
Alan has written many books, including this one with a great title: Patience: The Art of Peaceful Living.
It’s hard to maintain a turbo-charged urgency while being patient with – ahem – those who might not be traveling as fast as you.
Patience is not something you work on only during the weekends when you catch your breath; it’s a key trait needed Monday through Friday and thus deserves attention seven days a week.
You start singing your sense of urgency song at 5989 Hz early on Monday mornings. By 8am, your engine is red-lining. (Btw, 5989 is the highest note a human can hit.)
But when you think about how you pulled off some of your best sales, it’s obvious that you patiently dealt with the folks who worked on the account with you. You were urgent, but you were also patient.
Today, during your meditative walk in the woods with your pooch, think about how to drive in the fast lane and be patient with those you work with.

"I have no time."
To master time, you must first get disciplined about prioritizing the stuff that really has to get done, and filter out all the rest. Don’t waste time focusing on Priority B issues.

AI...AI...AI....schmay eye...
AI is great, as long as you understand that sales is about passion, grit, and trust. Make AI work for you, and don’t ever let it work you.
