AI is great, as long as you understand that sales is about passion, grit, and trust. Make AI work for you, and don’t ever let it work you.
There are a lot of great AI tools out there that can help your selling productivity — perhaps you’re a heavy user already. Even if you only use Chat to help frame email headers to up your KDM reply rate, you’re on the right track.
BUT…while AI helps you increase your productivity, it also increases your competitor’s productivity. …plus those you compete with on your team who want admission in the TOP 10%.
While you may think AI gives you a competitive advantage, it won’t eliminate your need to double down on your non AI skills.
Do
Today, work on your N-AI skills….your non AI skills.
1. Empathy: how are you relating to your customer? How are you making them feel heard? What about your "How are yous?" …how are you proving you genuinely care about how they are?
2. Storytelling: Do customers enjoy being with you because you share fun anecdotes about your life? …do you tell business stories that put them at the story’s center as the hero?
3. Listening: AI can’t listen like you can….how is your listening?
Using AI in sales will definitely help your productivity. Specifically, it’ll improve your…
1. Time management: You’ll spend less time doing tasks that AI can do for you.
2. Improved communication: Let AI clean up your grammar and syntax… it’s good at that. (But this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t proof your writing…AI makes mistakes too.)
3. Creativity: AI can jump-start your idea brainstorming and help you move more quickly toward solution creation.
4. Wait…you know all this…why are we still talking? You can just as quickly run the same shit through Chat that we do here at MySalesDay.
AI can also make you lazy and stupid. Overrelying on AI will move you faster to irrelevance.
If you think that AI will take your job, you may want to find another career track now. But if you are using AI tactically, and as motivation to gain an edge as a "value adder," then you’ll keep yourself lodged in the TOP 10%.

Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn founder and VC, knows a thing or seven about how technology affects business. He doesn’t think AI will disrupt sellers’ lives too much.
Go ahead…breathe a bit deeper.
…but don’t relax.
After listening to Reid in this Short, go back up to "DO" and DO IT.

“I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes.” Joanna Maciejewska
