Have you ever noticed how many other matters become code red urgent when a self-assigned ”PROSPECTING TIME” calendar reminder pops up?
You are not alone. All sellers struggle with prospecting discipline.
You have exhibited tremendous discipline everywhere else in your business, so it’s not like you’re starting from scratch in that department.
Prospecting success is a simple math equation of discipline + effort. Buck up and stop running calendar red lights. You know momentum will kick in quickly after you start.

Today, try this prospecting burst technique…
Set your alarm for :55 minutes past the hour and prospect for five minutes. Try to do this every hour today if you’re not in a meeting.
Whether you send 10 emails, leave five voice mails, or make one call to a friend at another company and ask for an intro…do it during that manic 300 seconds each hour.
If you execute just six times today, you’ll have prospected for a half-hour. More importantly, you will surely hook at least one fish.
