There’s no time for time management

Here’s a revelation about time management: it cannot be mastered. In The Sales Life, the clock will always run faster than you want it to.
Think about TM as a disciplined alignment of priorities against goals.
So instead of feeling angst over an endless To Do list, you should build and manage a Priority list instead.
With this new mindset, you’ll be hyper-focused on goals, goals, goals, and will be able to successfully battle the time robbers and black holes that lurk out there.

At 6 pm tonight, preview the next few weeks of your calendar and build your first Priority list.
As you convert your To Do list over, check to make sure what’s listed supports your rev, account, people, and skill goals.
Spend 5 minutes every night on this exercise, and you’ll have half a chance of avoiding the time robbers and fire drills that always pop up.
As you can see, effective ”time management” is really about ”goal management”.

Amongst other enlightening thoughts in his TED Talk, time management philosopher Brad Aeon offers this great observation: ”I don’t have time is the biggest lie in the history of mankind.”
You’re right, Brad. Everyone needs to stop saying that line…it’s not helpful.
