Martina wasn't practicing enough
This Sunday is Martina Navratilova's birthday; she was born in Prague in 1956.
Martina dominated women's tennis for years, winning 59 Grand Slam titles, 167 singles titles, and 177 doubles titles.
In 1981, after getting crushed by Chris Evert 6-0, 6-0, Navratilova began working with basketball and performance savant Nancy Lieberman to intensify her fitness and mental approach. Until that embarrassing loss, Martina had worked out for about an hour a day.
Navratilova didn't just get better. She changed how seriously professional tennis players trained. Talent got Martina pretty far. Practice took her much higher.

Don't practice on your buyers
Last Friday, you learned about Peak – a great read about what it means to practice the right way.
Today, honor Martina by putting the book's lessons to work.
Pick a skill you want to improve…and do it. Practice it. Don't just think about it.
Your value prop. Objection handling. A story about your company's service proposition. Whatever needs work. Dealer's choice!
Remember, practicing with a friend is better than practicing on a customer.
