Skill + Do

Allan Lokos is the founder and guiding teacher of the Community Meditation Center in NYC.

Alan has written many books, including this one with a great title: Patience: The Art of Peaceful Living.

Patience is not just a weekend topic; it’s a skill needed for sellers to survive and thrive in sales throughout the week.

YES, patience is a skill, and yes, it can be worked on and improved.

You start singing your sense of urgency song at 5989 Hz early on Monday mornings. By 8am, your engine is red-lining. (5989, btw, is the highest note a human can hit.)

But when you think about how you pulled off some of your finer sales moments, you know it was your patience that got you over the hump. Buyers don’t need to be pounded; they often need space to work things through their system.

Today, during your meditative walk in the woods with your pooch, think about how you can drive in the fast lane and still operate with patience.
