Prospect, or The Death Crawl

Skill

Success in sales is based on the consistent application of small habits and repeated actions.

You know that.

How you psyche up for prospecting – one of the more tedious of all selling activities – is the defining habit to your long-term success.

Whether it’s buddy-prospecting, shutting yourself in a quiet room, or scheduling bursts throughout the week…you must solve the Getting Started problem that plagues prospecting.

Do

Execute one or both of these today:

1. Create a prospecting club. Grab one or two BFFs and designate a prospecting block of time…today, and once more this week. (Repeat each week.) Gamify your session.

2. Play the ”Who do you know?” game with a different seller on your team each week. Grab a pal and block off a half-hour to review connections. It’s easier and more productive to mine LinkedIn when comparing shared connections with a seller friend.

Whatever you DO…do prospecting today.

Oomph

If you don’t feel empowered to prospect today by watching The Death Crawl from the movie Facing the Giants, then you need to go to urgent care…you might be missing a heart.

You most certainly would rather prospect than do The Crawl.

Stay hungry…motivate.
