"So, Mahatma, you’re saying I got a chance? …my customer might engage?"
Each time you mutter, "…my guy’s not getting back to me," you perpetuate the myth that you can’t make connections and keep the dialogue going through the funnel.
Don’t defeat yourself by admitting that engagement is hard. (And certainly don’t say it around your manager.)
"Engagement" means more than breaking through the initial seal and getting the first meeting; it also means sustaining momentum throughout the funnel.

Today, decide to eliminate negative thoughts and talk about how your customers aren’t getting back to you. You’re playing a game. That’s all it is. Your job is to break through and stay connected.
Use these three pillars as the litmus test to appraise your engagement skills:
Value + Brevity + Qualifying….and don’t forget the Big E: Effort.
Judge every outreach action and customer interaction today through the lens of the criteria above.
But…
…realize that even if you score 10 out of 10 on each, you still might not succeed.
Don’t stop. Remember the Big E.
