Who let the turkeys out?

Skill

Today, be thankful for the turkey on your plate, the mashed potatoes that make your mouth dance, your mom’s pumpkin pie, and expandable pants.

Be thankful for sleeping in later than usual, spending the morning watching movies without guilt…and emailing nobody.

Be thankful for your family and friends…especially those who drag you out on the flag football field so you can pull a groin.

And…be thankful you are a sales professional committed to a fulfilling and extraordinary career.

Do

Try one of these grateful moves today:

1. Text someone on your team – or a Champion – with this message: "Hey…as I’m stuffing myself today, I wanted to share that I’m grateful not only for the bird, but for your friendship. Hope you’re having fun today."

2. Reflect quietly on all you’re grateful for in your career: your mentors, your appreciation for challenging work, and, of course, commission checks.

And for sure, thank your parents for giving you wonderful traits and ambition that drive your successful and fulfilling career.

Oomph

Perhaps, as you read this, your house fills with smells that can only signal the fourth Thursday of November.

Hopefully, your football team will win today, Uncle Jack won’t rant too much about "this crazy world we live in", and cousin Susie won’t consume too much cheer before the turkey is carved.

Either way, maybe your friends from the bygone TV sitcom Cheers will make you LOL and remind you why this darn holiday is so fun. (Try to keep the potatoes in the bowl today…they are not to be thrown!)

Quote of the day

Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie.
