A weekend of football, shopping, and maybe a candle, too

The light promised by Leonard in today’s quote represents a bunch of good things:

…the immense joy and relief you’ll feel when the coming break finally arrives in a few days.

…a simple meditative act today that yields healthy exhaling and release.

…tomorrow’s start to the Hanukkah season for those who celebrate.

Regardless of your religion or level of spirituality, everyone can find serenity in the symbolism of Hanukkah. Light plays a central role in this Jewish celebration, which represents hope, perseverance, and endurance. The menorah lighting symbolizes that one candle, then another, slowly pushes back the dark.

Some posit that watching football all weekend, or shopping and lunching, qualifies as meditation! If so for you… entertain zero guilt about it. This weekend is entirely about you and your wishes.

And if you do venture into the stores this weekend, may this clip feature the store you visit.

Quote of the day

There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.
