3/27/2024-Video Pitch Meetings

Skill

Not every prospect and customer will want to meet you in person, but many will because they feel the same thing you do: job claustrophobia.

If ya can’t be there in person, video meetings are great. But the truth is video meetings stink if you’re trying to influence buyer decisions and motivate behaviors.

Umm, Houston, we DEFINITELY have a problem.

While you know you can’t succeed long-term in your sales career relying on Zoom, it’s time to aggressively pivot out of COVID-created habits.

The answer is simple: don’t suggest to buyers that you meet over video!

Do

Start pushing for F2F meetings.

Your customers are back in their offices, so only concede to a video meeting if your prospect has rebuffed your requests for a F2F three times.

This means you’ll need to develop a few good lines about why you must meet in person. Creating strategic reasons to meet won’t hurt, either.

C’mon, you can do it!

Even if you’re successful half of the time, that’s 50% more in-person meetings than you would have had otherwise.

You voluntarily enlisted into a sales career because you love interacting with people, influencing decisions, and helping them in their business. Sure, the commission checks don’t hurt, but you’re not one to sit on your arse and stare at a screen all day.

Look what’s happened along the way of your stellar career!

You sit at your desk and stare at a screen all day. (Oye!)

The only thing separating you from getting out of the office is your desire to do so. Not every prospect and customer will want to meet you in person, but many will because they feel the same thing you do: job claustrophobia. There are only so many places at home to bang on your laptop.

Human beings need action brought on through human interaction. So go get yourself some, and in the process, you’ll sharpen your F2F selling skills.

Oomph

The entrepreneurial guy (?) who made this YT Short claims he’s tired of Zoom meetings…hmmm.

As you watch, you’ll agree the apocalypse isn’t far off…IT ARRIVED.

Fight the ridiculousness….get in your customer’s office!

Quote of the day

“I joined a Zoom meeting in my pajamas and no one even noticed. It’s like my dream come true!” Anonymous
