I have no time.

Skill

However thick it gets for you…however stressed you are…however slammed you feel…never say aloud that you "have no time." EVER.

Announcing you have no time is a public proclamation that you are not organized or disciplined. (Bad optics.)

You would never say "I have no time" to a buyer, so why would you say it inside your org?

Once you succumb and admit you have no time, you have convinced yourself to think you have no time.

Like everything else, time can be managed. It simply requires thought, focus, and planning.

Do

Activate these time management best practices today:

1. Plan your time, so you work only on your priorities. (You’re not compensated to spend time on meaningless activities.)

2. Say "no" to distractions and non-essential activities.

3. Cut down on wasted actions. (Mindless scrolling is atop the list; do your social media on your time.)

Today at 5 p.m., formally record highlights of your accomplishments and note how you feel. (WINS Journal, anyone??) The goal is to feel more in control, and if any of the above works, do it again all next week.

Oomph

If you’ve got the time (chortle, snort), watch this mesmerizing performance of Pink Floyd’s "Time" and be glad you did.

You’ll appreciate this song’s message…about time…about life… !

Or, simply enjoy this beautifully produced and performed version of their hit after 8pm tonight… on your time.

Quote of the day

Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday.
