Frank Zappa is one of the most delightfully intriguing figures ever to make music. His ideas were always fresh and unique, which made him an idol to many.

In his personal life and music, he was weird and sharp in equal measure, and he bestowed vital positivity upon everything he touched.

Frank's father was a scientist who didn't make a lot of money, so he would bring home flasks, vials, and even gas masks for Frank to play with. And Frank surely entertained himself, at times spilling liquid mercury on the floor and playing with it.

It must have been freeing to have lived as Frank did.

Be weird today. (YES…weirder than you already are.) Blame it on the weekend! Or heck, blame it on nothing other than because.

Enjoy this Short featuring Frank explaining his refreshing perspective on live guitar solos. Listening to him will make you feel like doing something only for you today.

Obviously, Frank played his music not just for his fans, but for himself too.
