Happy Memorial Day!

Yeah, Memorial Day is crazy fun in the U.S. After all, it’s the unofficial start of summer.

The first national observance of Memorial Day occurred on May 30, 1868, when it was known as Decoration Day. Official recognition as a holiday spread among the states, beginning with New York in 1873. By 1890, every Union state had adopted it.

So…go enjoy your hot dogs, round of golf, hike, rafting trip – whatever – and remember our fallen heroes.

…and your heroes, too.

Do

While Memorial Day originated as a day to honor those who have fought and served for the U.S.A., what about those who helped you develop as a successful seller?

Along your path, you’ve learned from many influential folks; some were managers, and some were just those who took an interest in you. Perhaps some were buyers who helped you learn how to sell without knowing it.

Reach out to a few today – or throughout the week – and say "thanks."

You’ll love connecting and sharing gratitude – and they’ll love hearing from you.

Oomph

"Ladies and gentlemen, to celebrate the start of summer, put your hands together and give a roaring welcome to Mungo Jerry to help us get in that seasonal mood we’ve been yearning for…!"

If this vintage performance of In the Summertime doesn’t put a smile on your face and make you excited for summer, nothing will.

Quote of the day

Without memory, there is no culture. Without memory, there would be no civilization, no society, no future.
