Stuff your summer calendar with pitch meetings

Skill

Unfortunately, pitch meetings don’t appear on your calendar out of thin air. (It would be nice, though.) But you’re not a magician. You’re a hard-working, star sales professional.

And of course, you’re the one who decides how much time to dedicate to prospecting.

But one thing is true above all else: prospecting is easier when it’s regular and habitual.

So, as Ayn reminds us in today’s quote, what’s stopping you from developing a prospecting habit?

Do

The formula for getting time with buyers is not complex: Effort + creativity + present value = meetings.

So today, hit it as if Your Sales Life depends on it. (…because it does.)

Don’t just hack at it willy-nilly. Take out your strategic account plans and determine which people on which accounts need your attention. Focus on decision makers.

Your goal is to fill your summer calendar with as many KDM appointments as possible. It’ll be harder to get them on the books once Memorial Day hits and your buyers drift away to their cabins and boats.

Oomph

You have two choices: be busy this summer with tons of pitch meetings, or, be like George Costanza in this Seinfeld Short.

Don’t be George and look busy…BE busy this summer!

Quote of the day

The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.
