Today is ‘Give Yourself a Break’ day

Even you say the wrong thing in pitch meetings…sometimes. You can’t have every answer. You can’t land every line. You try valiantly…but it’s just not possible.

Growth requires giving yourself space to fail. And the weekends are good for that kind of reflection and admission.

Today, give yourself a break. (While you should give yourself a break every day, focus hard on it today.)

Try this: compliment yourself often. Catch yourself doing something right, and smart, and commend yourself. And then try to apply that formula all week.

If you catch yourself being a bonehead, repeat this line to yourself, "So what?"

It takes practice, for sure, but you are your own Chief Grace Provider. So…provide it. You are your best client.
