Make ’em turn on their cameras!

Skill

Sometimes ya just want to yell, "TURN ON YOUR F’ing CAMERAS!"

But of course, there’s a better way to ask them to join you.

But why do you sometimes summon the courage to ask buyers to turn on their cameras, and sometimes you don’t?

Don’t settle for disrespectful behaviors from your buyers! If you don’t ask, you won’t get.

They’re not going to turn on without you asking.

Do

Today, create your standard line that asks buyers to turn on their cameras.

Here’s an example using levity:
"Hey everyone, literally there is cat poop, dirty laundry, and toys all over this room I’m in, but I’m just gonna ignore it and focus on how good it is to see you. Would it be possible to actually see you?"

Or this:
"I pledge to make this meeting engaging and valuable…and who knows, maybe a bit fun too! What will help is if you join the meeting by turning on your camera."

Ask. You can’t fall off the floor!

Oomph

Yesssss, this 3-minute sketch comedy clip of a video meeting is cliche…but it is very funny!

Video pitch meetings will always be a poor alternative to in-person interactions, but at the least… get ’em to turn on their cameras!

Before you can influence, you have to get them to engage!

Quote of the day

Make sure you take time between Zoom meetings to scream at the top of your lungs.
