Value Propping at the bar?

Skill

Did you wish you were in PJs hanging with Hulu last night instead of watching your client drain multiple gin-&-tonics?

Socializing with customers can be fun, but don’t forget that when you’re at the bar, game, or spa, you’re on the clock. The time you spend after normal business hours is expensive time. That time is "PST"…Personal Sacrifice Time.

You must get something really valuable from your buyer for your PST.

Your manager expects ROI when you use the corporate card… your free time deserves it.

Do

For your next social selling interaction, set an intentional and specific goal that will justify your PST.

It doesn’t matter if you’re at a concert or a corn-hole tournament…take time at the start of your event to announce that you have some business you need to conduct. Keep it brief, but be specific and direct.

Realize you can be as aggressive with your ask as you want because…. well, because you can! The customer has nowhere to hide!

Oomph

This 2-minute clip of the greatest corn hole shot EVER is truly breathtaking.

Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but the real action is in row 3. There’s a guy in the audience pitching his seatmate hard…no doubt he was going for the intro to the CMO.

Quote of the day

Get closer than ever to your customers. So close that you tell them what they need well before they realize it themselves.
