Pitch your best friend HARD

Skill

Of course, "Sean" granted you a meeting…he’s one of your BFFBs (BFF Buyer).

BUT…remember how Sean hijacked your last meeting when he droned on for 25 minutes about his kid’s soccer camp? He left you with five minutes to conduct business. Ouch.

Delete any stigma you have about selling to friends…you have a quota to hit.

The reward for developing solid relationships is getting to leverage them. Master the art of controlling your BFFB meetings.

Do

After securing your next meeting with a BFFB, construct a tight written agenda and add "Social catch-up: 5 minutes" at the top. Then, build the agenda as you normally would.

Send the agenda to your BFFB before the meeting, and you’ll get what you need from your meeting with your pal.

Go hit the bars and coffee houses when you need more than five minutes of friends time.

Oomph

Spend a necessary 3 minutes watching David Lowe in this clip, and you’ll agree he’s one slick car salesman. Literally.

But as you watch, you’ll agree that he’s RIGHT! When you’re selling, there’s no such thing as "friends." They’re all buyers, and they have a budget you want.

Quote of the day

Value the relationship more than the quota.
