The B2B seller’s gravitational law, known as The Q4 Time Warp, posits that once Labor Day hits, it feels like New Year’s Eve is coming next week.

Well, Labor Day is in the distant past, so consider yourself deep in the warp.

From here on out, you’re playing two games at once: squeezing everything you can from Q4 while setting up a strong start to 2027.

Think those goals compete with each other? They do not.

Do

Focus your work today on these two areas:

1. Transactions: What essential tasks will help you maximize this Q4? List them. Work on them.

2. Strategic planning: What facts and intel do you need to collect to help you start ’27 off with a bang?

Today’s execution drives Q4; today’s intelligence helps build ’27.

And when you catch yourself drifting into low-value work – administrative tasks, unnecessary meetings, and I don’t know where my time went stuff – get ruthless about protecting your priorities.

As you watch Jim hilariously monitor Dwight’s time in this three-minute clip from The Office, be thankful your manager isn’t watching your clock.

Manage it yourself.

You’ll feel awfully good tonight knowing your time went where it mattered most.
